Walk into any shop and the choices are overwhelming. The secret is not buying the most expensive product — it is buying the right one for your skin. Here is how I guide my clients.
First, Know Your Skin Type
Dry Skin
Feels tight, may flake. Look for creamy, hydrating products with ingredients like hyaluronic acid and ceramides.
Oily Skin
Shiny, prone to breakouts. Choose lightweight, gel-based, oil-free products labelled “non-comedogenic”.
Combination Skin
Oily in the T-zone, dry on the cheeks. Use balanced products and treat different areas as needed.
Sensitive Skin
Reacts easily, may redden. Stick to fragrance-free, gentle formulas and always patch-test first.
Read the Order of Ingredients
Ingredients are listed from most to least. If a “natural” product lists water and alcohol first and the good stuff last, it may not deliver much.
Introduce One Product at a Time
If you add five new products at once and break out, you will never know which one caused it. Go slow.
Azmir’s Advice
The best product is the one you will actually use consistently — and that suits your skin. When in doubt, ask an expert before you spend.
